Computer laboratories (12h)
- Estimation of slope stability with the application of FLAC code (Fast Lagrangian Analysis of Continua)
- Estimation of stability of underground openings with the application of FLAC
- Estimation of stability of longwall with the application of FLAC
- Estimation of tunnels with the application of FLAC
Laboratory experiments (12h)
- Advanced triaxial testing of ground samples (GDS system)
- Testing of soil properties (LA drum, edometric test etc.)
- Testing of rock samples with stiff machine (post-failure investigations – MTS-system)
Practical excursion (12h)
- Visit in underground coal mine
- Visit in open-pit mine
